Debra
Pember brings a diverse and broad based perspective to the partnership
of Developers Edge.
Drawing upon nearly 30 years of experience with small and large,
private and publicly held homebuilding companies, she provides full,
in-depth asset and project management services for residential projects
of all sizes. She has the unique ability to manage the details while
keeping the big picture in focus.
Debra began her home building
career with Fredericks Development Corporation.
During her ten years there she seized opportunities to learn the
various aspects of the business from the ground up. After her time with
Fredericks, she gained experience from the lender’s perspective as an
Asset Manager for PSB Realty Corporation, managing tenant
improvements, property management, joint venture agreements and budgets
for commercial and multi-family REO projects. Her key years in
residential project management and community development followed with
Richmond American, Regis Homes, John Laing Homes and Meritage Homes.
During the early 1990’s, Debra provided entitlement and project
management services to developers and builders, including Olson Company,
MBK Homes and Citation Homes.
Debra
has volunteered her expertise and served as a Director on many
different Boards of the Building Industry Association (BIA), beginning
with the Home Builder’s Council in 1985. In 1993, she earned an award
for Exemplary Work in Government Affairs from the BIA/Baldy View
Chapter. She continued with the BIA/Riverside Chapter in 1999 through
2002, where her efforts in developing and increasing the membership
were recognized with the Committee Chair of the Year Award. Chairing
the Membership Committee for BIA/Southern California and BIA/Riverside
gained her the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2002. In 2003, Debra
served at the state level as Membership Chair for the California
Building Industry Association. In 2006, she gravitated back to the
Orange County Chapter to serve on the Executive Committee and chair the
Communications Committee. Debra continues to be an active volunteer and
currently serves on the Urban Infill and Governmental Affairs
committees in Orange County.
Debra is a graduate of UCI’s
accredited Light Construction and Development Management program.
